It's been a beautiful day here today - sunny and not too windy. Baby granddaughter was picked up at half past one, so I had time to play. I'm in the process of making little boxes of thank you cards as stocking fillers my daughter and daughters-in-law. I still give my children (all adults) stockings at Christmas. I fill them with little inexpensive gifts. I tried to stop this tradition a couple of years ago, but my eldest son, who was about 34 at the time, nearly had a fit lol ! He wanted his stocking. I thought I'd show you one of the cards. I'll show you the rest when I've finished.
Trendy Trees is one of my favourite stamp sets at the moment. It's just so cute. I keep reaching for it. I'm really trying to keep my cards simple these days. Sometimes I succeed. I tend to over-embellish, and it's not always easy to stop. For these cards, I'm using my scraps. I have a scrap box that's bursting at the seams, so these little cards are ideal. They are 4" x 4".
This was a very quick card to make. Once I'd cut out the bits and pieces it made itself.
Right - I'm off to finish cooking (just sitting with a cuppa so I thought I'd get my post done early tonight). I might work on some more of these little cards later tonight. Hope you all have a lovely evening.
