I said I'd be back later to show you what I'm up to using the Stampin' Up! Greenhouse Garden set. I thought I'd be able to show you a completed card. Well...I DID complete the card, but the light is just too bad to take a photo of it. So - will half a card do ? lol
Greenhouse Garden is a set that is designed for 2-step stamping. There are 2 stamps that make up a single image. They are stamped on top of each other. I'm explaining this because there are quite a few people out there who have never heard of 2-step stamping. I took a few photos as I went along to show you what I mean.
The particular flower I'm stamping has 2 stamps - a solid base stamp, and then a stamp that defines the flower - lots of lines. You'll see what I mean when you look at the photos below.
The stamp on the right is the solid base stamp...the one on the left is the fill in.
I'm casing a card that I saw on Splitcoast Stampers here. Not an exact copy, just using Karen Barber's idea.
The idea in 2-step stamping is to stamp the base stamp in a lighter colour than the definition stamp. Blurry photo - sorry, but it gives you the idea. The stamp on the right is the base stamp, and the left flower has been overstamped with the fill-in.
I used my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the stamps. I need to do a video of how it works as one of my customers has asked for videos !
Stamping the flower again in Bashful Blue. I then used Brocade Blue for the 2nd stamp to go over the top.
So this is where I'm up to as far as the photos go. The light was really bad by the time I took the last one below.
Cute ?? The card is finished, and I'll take some photos of it tomorrow. As I said, Greenhouse Garden really is a very nice set - useful for most occasions. And most important of all - £1 from every set sold will go to the Haiti Disaster Relief Fund. See the post below this to read about SU and the Relief Fund.

The other day I mentioned that I was taking part in a Valentine swap at ILWS, and I said I'd show you a sneak peek. Well...here it is...peek away ! My swaps are finished and will be in the post on Monday. They have to be in by the end of the month.
That's it for tonight. I owe some emails - sorry. I'll be catching up as soon as I can. I have a few things to prepare for my Sunday School class tomorrow, and then...if I'm still awake...I want to visit a few blogs, and make a few more cards using Greenhouse Garden. The more sets I can sell, the more money will go to Haiti. And...I need to KNIT !!!!... and tidy around, do the dishes, and peel veggies for tomorrow's lunch (I'm expecting a crowd). So what am I doing on the computer ????????
Thanks for visiting, and thanks so much for all the comments.
