Hi there and welcome to my blog. I am an Independant demonstrator For Stampin' Up! - so this blog will feature all my arty & crafty makes - and details of workshops etc. in and around the Oxfordshire area.
I have been arting (is that a word ?) and crafting since I was a young child - always the first one to get the colouring books out. In my early married life, I continued with papercrafting/cardmaking, but also started on the long trail of trying out every craft going ! You know how it is, don't you ? I bet you've done it too ! Fabric painting, glass painting, beadmaking, sewing, knitting, crochet. pottery, batik, etc. etc. - whatever craft came along, I just had to try it out. Just couldn't get enough of it. Art & Craft was, and still is, my passion. For years I have painted - in oils, pastels and acrylics. Lately though, my painting has slowed down. It's hard to paint when there are grandchildren all over the place !!
Through all the years of arting and crafting, one thing has remained constant - my love of papercrafts. I have been making cards since I was a young girl - way back when you couldn't buy any cardmaking supplies, and you made your own. I discovered rubber stamps in the late 1970's. What a find !!! You would have thought I'd discovered gold ! I have been addicted to them ever since. Yes - I am a stamp collector. No - not postage stamps !
I am now retired (my last job was as an art teacher at our local college), and plan to devote myself to building up my Stampin! Up business. I want to tell everyone about the wonderful products, and share my love of rubber stamping. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than seeing the smile on the face of someone who has just made their first card, or first scrapbook page. What a thrill.
Stampin' Up! has only been in the UK a couple of years - but as soon as I found out about the company, knew I wanted to become a demostrator. So here I am, an SU demonstrator !
I am a Christian - my hubby is the preacher at church ! I have been happily married for 38 years - have 3 married children, and 4 grandchildren - all living within an hour from me. Bliss !
